There are significant differences between melt blown filter cartridges and PP cotton filter cartridges in multiple aspects, mainly reflected in materials, manufacturing processes, filtration performance, application fields, as well as characteristics and advantages.

1、 Material and Manufacturing Process

Melt blown filter cartridge: mainly made of non-toxic and odorless polypropylene (PP) as raw material, through processes such as heating, melting, spraying, pulling, and receiving molding. The fiber structure of this filter element is tight, with uniform pore size, forming a unique deep filtration structure that is sparse on the outside and dense on the inside.

PP cotton filter: also made of polypropylene (PP) as the main material, but commonly referred to as polypropylene melt blown filter or PP melt blown filter. The manufacturing process also includes steps such as heating and melting, spinning, pulling, and receiving forming to produce a tubular filter element.

2、 Filtering performance

Melt blown filter element: characterized by uniform pore size, high filtration efficiency, and good acid and alkali resistance. Its micrometer size can reach 1um to 300um, and its dense inside and sparse outside design can maintain stable flow rate and pressure difference, while effectively intercepting small particles, rust and other impurities in water.

PP cotton filter element: It has the characteristics of high porosity, high filtration accuracy, large flow rate, small pressure difference, large pollutant holding capacity, and long service life. It can also effectively remove suspended solids, sediment, rust and other impurities in water, but compared to melt blown filter cartridges, its filtration accuracy may be slightly different, and it focuses more on the removal of large particle impurities.

3、 Application Fields

Meltblown filter cartridge: Due to its excellent filtration performance and chemical stability, it is widely used in various fields such as PCB, electroplating, pure water, and pre filtration treatment of food and drinking water. Especially in situations where high-precision filtration is required, melt blown filter cartridges perform well.

PP cotton filter: It is widely used in various fields such as household water purifiers, industrial water treatment, and food and beverage production. As a pre filter, it can effectively protect the subsequent filter element from damage caused by large particle impurities and improve the overall filtration effect.

4、 Characteristics and advantages

Meltblown filter element: In addition to the filtering performance and chemical stability mentioned above, the meltblown filter element also has high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties, and can work stably in harsh environments. At the same time, the double-layer fiber structure consisting of a dense fiber layer inside and a coarse and loose fiber layer outside effectively reduces pressure loss and ensures stable filtration efficiency.

PP cotton filter: It has high mechanical strength, is not easily deformed, and can withstand high working pressure. In addition, PP cotton filter cartridges also have the advantages of easy replacement and convenient maintenance, making them widely used in various filtration situations.

There are differences between melt blown filter cartridges and PP cotton filter cartridges in terms of material, manufacturing process, filtration performance, application fields, characteristics, and advantages. When choosing, comprehensive consideration should be given to specific usage needs and environmental conditions.
